Approved definitions used across the knowledge center.

Attestation
Evidence that a key or environment has specific properties. Distinct from user identity proofing and from transaction authorization.
Authentication
Establishing who or what is presenting credentials or proofs. Distinct from authorization, which grants permission for an action.
Authorization
Granting or denying permission to perform a specific action or access a resource, often after authentication and policy checks.
Ciright
Technology company behind Cyber One Card lineage and related properties; Keyra presents as evolution of Ciright hardware-security work.
Cyber One / CyberONE
Ciright historical hardware-security card technology and branding (also Cyber One Card). Keyra builds on this lineage; cyberonecard.com is the historical product reference.
ECC
Elliptic-curve cryptography—public-key cryptography family referenced in historical CyberONE materials. Do not invent Keyra key sizes from this historical mention.
eSIM
Embedded SIM—soldered or integrated subscription module provisioned remotely. Connectivity profiles differ from security applet deployments; Keyra treats eSIM as a declared hardware-verified security form factor.
FIDO
Fast Identity Online—open authentication standards family. Referenced in historical CyberONE public materials; not a claim of current Keyra certification.
Form factor
Physical or integrated carrier of the security application—card, SIM, eSIM or iSIM—each with distinct integration and provisioning characteristics.
Hardware-verified security
Security properties established using protected hardware-backed credentials or operations rather than software-only secrets. Exact verified property (key possession, hardware binding, user action, transaction authority) must be stated per deployment.
iSIM
Integrated SIM—SIM functionality integrated into a device secure processing environment. Company-declared Keyra/Ciright form factor for hardware-verified security; detailed mechanics require engineering confirmation.
Keyra Connected
Proposed capability with alternative authorization paths; must not be described as equivalent to Vault Certified assurance.
Keyra Vault Certified
Target architecture for validated end-to-end hardware-rooted authorization unless later approved evidence establishes a different status.
KPAN
Keyra Payments Authentication Network—named program for payment-related authentication. Live commercial status requires confirmation.
MFA
Multi-factor authentication—requiring more than one authentication factor. Historical CyberONE materials emphasize passwordless MFA themes.
OAuth
Authorization framework used by many APIs. The Keyra Java SDK documents OAuth-related partner integration patterns.
Revocation
Invalidating credentials, keys, sessions or delegated authority so they can no longer be accepted by verifiers.
Roaming
Using a mobile subscription outside its home network. Keyra availability while roaming depends on device, carrier and provisioned eligibility—not universal.
Sandbox
Non-production environment and credentials for integration testing, separated from live/production credentials in Keyra SDK documentation.
Secure element
Tamper-resistant hardware component that can host keys and security applications. Card, SIM, eSIM and iSIM deployments differ in how such environments are integrated.
SIM
Subscriber Identity Module—removable secure element traditionally used for mobile subscription identity. In Keyra context, a company-declared form factor for hardware-verified security applications, distinct from mere connectivity.
TestFlight
Apple beta distribution channel. keyra.ie messaging references iPhone TestFlight beta access.
Transaction-bound approval
User or policy approval cryptographically or procedurally bound to a specific transaction request, reducing reuse of a generic login proof.
Trust anchor
Root reference used to validate cryptographic evidence. Public Keyra technology messaging describes the SIM as a trust-anchor theme for verification.
V2X
Vehicle-to-everything communications (V2V, V2I, V2P, V2N). Keyra V2X is a proposed application scope, not an established certified safety authority.
